Job summary

iCare Health Network is seeking a Per Diem Cook to prepare meals for facility residents at scheduled times, following sanitation procedures and therapeutic diets. Dining services staff collaborate to ensure quality nutrition and patient comfort in a respectful environment.

Responsibilities include preparing hot and cold foods, maintaining meal schedules, and ensuring safety standards. The role requires precise sanitation, adherence to dietary guidelines, and a cooperative attitude with the care

Qualifications

• Experience preparing large portions.
• Ability to follow sanitation procedures and dietary requirements.
• Strong team player with reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Prepares hot and cold foods including modified textures for restricted/therapeutic diets.
• Maintains and follows all meal schedules.
• Ensures food safety and sanitation per state/federal regulations and FDA guidelines.
• Stores, covers, and refrigerates items; cooks to appropriate temperatures.
• Performs tasks per Facility policies and supervisors’ instructions.
• Complies with regulations and Resident Rights; reports incidents as needed.
