Job summary

Adventist Health Tehachapi Valley is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide personal care and support under the direction of an RN. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, taking vital signs, and communicating patient needs to the RN.

The position is per diem with day shifts and 12-hour shifts, located in Tehachapi, CA. The role requires CNA certification and BLS; phlebotomy and audiometry/CHDP certificates are preferred in CA/HI.

Qualifications

• BLS certification is required
• CNA certification is required
• Phlebotomy certification preferred in CA and HI
• Audiometry and vision training or CHDP certificate preferred in CA and HI

Responsibilities

• Assists with activities of daily living (nutrition, hydration, elimination, personal care)
• Takes vital signs and reports status to RN
• Performs clerical duties to keep the unit running smoothly
• Provides assessment data to the licensed nurse within scope of practice
• Performs other related duties as assigned
