Job summary

Shasta Regional Medical Center in Northern California is seeking a Nurse Assistant in the Med Surg/Telemetry Department. The Nurse Assistant is an unlicensed non-certified assistive person who aids with daily living activities and basic nursing care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the unit.

This role is Per Diem with Day shifts. A current CNA certificate and BLS within 30 days are preferred, and six months of acute care experience is favored.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred

Responsibilities

• The Nurse Assistant assists with activities of daily living.
• Provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients.
• Maintains a safe environment under RN supervision.
