Job summary

Bay 9 Holdings LLC dba Edgemere in Dallas, Texas seeks a qualified Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct patient care under RN supervision. Responsibilities include vital signs, medication assistance, and ADL support in a full-time hourly role.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of geriatric care experience, and CNA licensure with First Aid/CPR. A Food Handler certification is required within 60 days if applicable.

Qualifications

• English literacy sufficient to perform job duties and communicate with residents and staff.
• Experience with geriatric care is preferred but not always required.
• CPR/First Aid Certification and CNA licensure are required by state regulations.
• Food Handler certification within 60 days of hire if state program exists.

Responsibilities

• Follow care plan directives, administer direct patient care and assist residents to perform daily living activities.
• Initiate resident needs, assessment, and safety by observing and reporting any changes to the nurse.
• Coordinate with nursing team to take and record vital signs and maintain records of ADLs, bowel/bladder, diet intake and input/output information.
• Administer standard precautions and infection control standards; maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Promptly answer call lights and regularly conduct rounds to assess resident needs and ensure needs are met.
• Comply with applicable laws and company policies; maintain punctual attendance.
• Maintain reliable attendance and participate in team meetings.
