Job summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Medication Assistant (CMA) to join Bay 9 Holdings LLC dba Edgemere in Dallas, Texas. The CMA administers medications per physician orders under licensed supervision, documents care, and supports residents with daily activities according to care plans.

Requirements include a high school diploma (or equivalent), 1+ year geriatric experience, First Aid/CPR, CNA licensure per state rules, and current medication aide licensure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum one year working with the geriatric population.
• First Aid and CPR Certification and Certified nursing aide licensure required by state regulations.
• Have and maintain medication aide licensure per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set up medication for residents and provide medication, under the direction and monitoring of a licensed nurse, and according to physician orders.
• Record and document all medication, treatment and care provided for residents.
• Take and record vital signs of residents.
• Prepare monthly summaries, may take off physician orders and prepares chart for new residents.
• Respond to resident calls and requests.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Give and receive report at shift change, counts narcotics at that time.
• May help residents prepare for and exercise, as appropriate.
