Job summary

Bay 9 Holdings LLC dba Edgemere in Dallas, Texas seeks a Certified Medication Assistant (CMA) to join our care team. The CMA administers medications as per physician orders and care plans, with supervision by a licensed nurse.

This full-time position offers weekend doubles (6am-10pm) and a starting wage of $19.00 per hour, plus comprehensive medical/dental/vision and life insurance, generous PTO and holiday time, and a 401K plan.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum one year working with the geriatric population.
First Aid and CPR Certification and Certified nursing aide licensure required by state regulations.
Have and maintain medication aide licensure per state requirements.

Responsibilities

Set up medication for residents under the direction and monitoring of a licensed nurse, and according to physician orders.
Record and document all medication, treatment and care provided for residents.
Take and record vital signs of residents.
Prepare monthly summaries and chart for new residents.
Respond to resident calls and requests.
Assist residents with activities of daily living.
Report at shift change and count narcotics.
Comply with applicable laws, rules, and company policies; maintain attendance.
Duties may change as needed.
