Job summary

Immediate Care Walk-In Management LLC is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for per diem shifts at our Warren, NJ sites with the option to pick up additional shifts at other locations. The CMA will support providers, interview and triage patients, measure vitals, document in charts, and assist in exam rooms.

The role requires phlebotomy and injections, strong medical terminology knowledge, and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; some college preferred.
• Medical assistant certification required.
• Ability to maintain organized systems for timely patient flow.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy and administer injections.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, measure vital signs, and document information in charts.
• Assist providers in exam rooms and communicate instructions to patients.
• Perform procedures such as blood draws and EKGs.
• Keep exam rooms stocked and maintain instruments and sterilization.
• Handle patient, provider, and pharmacy calls and provide feedback.
• Maintain logs and required checks (e.g., refrigerator temperatures, medications).
• Cross-train for patient registration when necessary.
• Be available to work evenings and weekends and travel to other sites.
• Willing to travel in inclement weather and to become UDS, BAT, and/or DOT certified.
• Maintain all certifications required for the role.
• All other duties as assigned.
