Job summary

Guidelight Health, Inc. is seeking a per diem Clinical Therapist to provide high-quality behavioral health services onsite in Massachusetts. The role covers group therapy with potential 1:1 support as needed, and supports a PHP/IOP program.

PRN therapists should have a master’s degree in a related field and MA licensure (LICSW/LMHC preferred). The position emphasizes supervision for associates and professional development within Guidelight’s PHP/IOP framework.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field.
  • Valid state licensure in Massachusetts (LICSW/LMHC preferred).
  • Group facilitation experience and willingness to supervise associates.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychological and biopsychosocial assessments and evaluations to determine clients' needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
  • Provide evidence-based individual, group, and family therapy.
  • Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans for cohesive case formulation.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and medical doctors for comprehensive care.
  • Complete suicide risk assessment within appropriate time frames and scoring.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case reviews.

Title: Clinical Therapist, Per Diem
Department/Location: Onsite
FLSA Status: Non - Exempt
PRN Expectations: PRN Therapists are expected to work a minimum of 8 hours per month, maximum of 10 hours per week. Primary responsibilities will include providing coverage for group therapy; however, there may be occasions when individual (1:1) session support is needed based on client needs and clinical presentation.

*Accepting applications from Associate and Independently Licensed Therapists. Independent licensure in the state of Massachusetts is highly preferred (LICSW or LMHC). Please note that we are unable to provide clinical supervision for Associate Licensed Therapists in this per diem position.

Role Summary:

The Therapist willbe responsible forproviding high-quality care and therapeutic services to individuals dealing with various behavioral issues. The therapist will develop and implement treatment plans, conduct assessments, and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver effective behavioral health interventions. Guidelight is committed to the professional growth and development of therapists and provides free clinical supervision hours to support clinicians in working toward licensure.

  • Conduct psychologicaland biopsychosocial assessments and evaluations todetermineclients' needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual, group, and family therapy.
  • Monitor and document clients' progress and adjust treatment plansto create a cohesive case conceptualization.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical doctors, to provide comprehensiveand continuity of care.
  • Completes suicide risk assessment within identifiedtime framesand withappropriate thoroughnessand scoringwhile consulting with clinical leaders.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case reviewsdetermininglength of stay and level of care.
  • Assess andidentifycommunity resources based onclientsneeds during treatment/ aftercare planning.
  • Adhere to all standardized Group Curriculum and Treatment Planning.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health and behavioral issueswhile building supportive and trusting relationships
  • Comes preparedtoweekly clinical supervision with relevant client updates, case formulations, and questions to support high-quality care.
  • Adhere to all confidentiality and ethical guidelines as outlined by professional standards and laws.
  • Stay updated on the latest research and developments in behavioral therapy and mental health.

Required Qualifications :
  • A master's degree in psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Valid state licensure in the state of X (add in licensure)
  • Group Facilitation experience with willingness to follow a structured curriculum
  • If eligible based on licensure status and applicable state regulations, must be willing to provide formal clinical supervision to associate-level clinicians as part of Guidelight’s supervision program. This includes actively supporting the development of associate licensed professionals in accordance with organizational standards and state-specific supervisory requirements.
  • Experience in behavioral therapy and counseling.
