Job summary

The Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Per Diem Clinical Nurse in New York. This RN will provide safe, competent care to a designated patient group, using evidence-based nursing care and the professional practice model.

Responsibilities include assessing needs, delivering coordinated care, educating patients and families, and collaborating with the Interdisciplinary Care Team to ensure quality outcomes. Strong clinical and communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• BSN preferred; ADN with BSN in progress considered.
• Current New York State Registered Nurse license.
• BLS certification; NRP, ACLS, PALS as required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers patient care using the nursing process and professional practice model.
• Assesses and evaluates patient care needs with critical thinking.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to plan and evaluate care.
• Educates patients and families about plan of care and transition.
• Documents thoroughly and adheres to safety and regulatory standards.
