Job summary

The Per Diem Clinical Nurse at Mount Sinai Health System provides safe, competent nursing care to a designated group of patients and their families, applying the nursing process, nursing theory, and evidence‑based practice.

You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, assess needs, educate patients and caregivers about plan of care and transition, and support high‑quality, patient‑centered care within the care delivery model.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with active NYS RN license.
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted if pursuing BSN and approved by CNO.
• BLS and PALS certifications required; 2 years pediatric transport RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Delivers patient care by applying the nursing process and evidence‑based practice.
• Assesses needs and plans care with critical thinking and collaboration.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to develop and evaluate the care plan.
• Educates patients and caregivers about plan of care, transition, and prevention.
• Documents nursing care accurately in accordance with standards.
