Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Per Diem-Clinical Laboratory Technologist to perform routine and advanced laboratory tests, handle specimens, and report results. The role requires NYSDOH licensure as a Certified Clinical Laboratory Technologist and a relevant Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory technology or related science fields.

Experience in a clinical lab is preferred. The successful candidate will operate and maintain instruments, ensure quality control, and assist with proficiency

Qualifications

• Licensed as NYSDOH Certified Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
• Bachelor's degree qualifications per NYS requirements.
• One year clinical lab experience or internship accepted.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex laboratory tests and procedures.
• Follow policies for recording, reporting, and quality control of results.
• Maintain instruments and perform preventative maintenance.
• Review patient results before release to EMR and correlate with patient history.
• Communicate critical values to medical staff per protocol.
• Participate in training of new technologists/residents.
