Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English with patients, visitors and hospital staff.
• High school diploma/equivalent strongly preferred.
• BLS – Basic Life Support required.
• Eligible options include: CNA certification, nursing student with clinical rotation completed, three months of clinical care experience, or completion of the Winchester Hospital Clinical Associate Training Program (CATP).

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living.
• Reposition and ambulate patients.
• Make occupied and unoccupied beds.
• Transport patients, beds, supplies and equipment.
• Collect, label and transport specimens.
• Retrieve and sign out blood products.
• Perform point-of-care testing.
• Obtain vital signs and weights.
• Maintain accurate intake and output measurements.
• Remove Foley catheters and saline locks.
