Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) is seeking a Clinical Associate at Winchester Hospital, a 223-bed regional hospital serving the northwest suburban Boston area. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, patient repositioning, bed management, and specimen handling, among other care tasks.

Schedule is 12 hours per week, day shift with weekend/holiday rotations. Requires English proficiency, basic computer skills, and BLS certification; CNA or nursing student with clinical rotation

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• BLS - Basic Life Support certification is required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant or Nursing Student with one medical-surgical clinical rotation.
• Three months of clinical care experience is required.
• Completion of Winchester Hospital Clinical Associate Training Program (CATP).

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living for patients.
• Reposition and ambulate patients as directed.
• Make occupied and unoccupied beds.
• Transport patients, beds, supplies and equipment.
• Collect, label and transport specimens.
• Retrieve and sign out blood products.
• Perform point-of-care testing accurately.
• Obtain vital signs and weights.
• Maintain accurate intake and output measurements.
• Remove Foley catheters and saline locks.
