Job summary

Winchester Hospital, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH), is hiring a per diem Clinical Associate. You will assist with daily living activities, reposition and transfer patients, and support nursing tasks to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities include vital signs, specimen handling, bed management, and basic point-of-care testing. Required: high school diploma/equivalent and BLS; CNA or related clinical experience preferred. Per diem, paid hourly.

Qualifications

• Must have/be one of: Certified Nursing Assistant, Nursing Student with one clinical rotation completed, three months of clinical care experience, or completion of Winchester Hospital: Clinical Associate Training Program (CATP).
• Strong preference for high school diploma/equivalent.
• BLS certification is required for this role.
• Must read, write, and communicate effectively in English with patients and staff.
• Basic computer skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living.
• Reposition and ambulate patients.
• Make occupied and unoccupied beds.
• Transport patients, beds, supplies, and equipment.
• Collect, label, and transport specimens; retrieve blood products.
• Perform point-of-care testing.
• Obtain vital signs and weights; monitor inputs/outputs.
• Remove Foley catheters and saline locks.
