Job summary

Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro in San Pedro, CA is seeking a Chaplain - Spiritual Care on a per-diem basis, providing 8-hour, variable shifts to support patients and families across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.

The Chaplain will deliver professional spiritual care, collaborate with the healthcare team, and uphold the mission and values of the Department of Spiritual Health Services while ensuring compassionate, person-centered care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in theology or equivalent for chaplaincy board certifying organizations.
• Completion of four clinical pastoral education units.
• National Chaplain Certification within 3 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional spiritual care ministry to patients in inpatient, outpatient and community settings.
• Address spiritual, religious and emotional needs of others as part of the healthcare team.
• Support the mission, values, policies and procedures of the Department of Spiritual Health Services.
• Collaborate with the care team to deliver patient-focused, whole-person care.
• Uphold Providence standards and contribute to a compassionate care environment.

Education

Master's Degree in Theology/Divinity/Spirituality/Pastoral Ministry or equivalent
