Job summary

Geisinger seeks a Chaplain Associate to provide spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and healthcare teams in a clinical setting. This flex per diem role requires a High School Diploma or GED, plus Clinical Pastoral Education and ordination or ecclesiastical endorsement.

The position offers per diem hours, evenings and weekends as needed, with non-benefits eligibility and opportunities to collaborate within an interdisciplinary care team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 unit of Clinical Pastoral Education required.
• Ordination/Commissioning or Ecclesiastical Endorsement required.

Responsibilities

• Attend interdisciplinary team conferences and meetings.
• Assess spiritual needs of patients, families, and caregivers.
• Provide direct chaplaincy services to patients and families.
• Consult patient's clergy of choice and advise on admission.
• Document visits and calls in the EMR promptly.
• Support and counsel other team members; assist with training.

Education
