Job summary

PeaceHealth seeks a Chaplain Associate - Spiritual Care for a Per Diem/Relief, 0.00 FTE, variable position. Provides direct spiritual care for patients, families, and caregivers within the healthcare team, reflecting PeaceHealth's mission and values.

The role supports ethical decision making, advance care planning, and coordination with chaplains and other disciplines. Requires ACPE CPE and appropriate endorsements, with a commitment to ongoing education and compassionate service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Divinity, Theology, Religion, or related field required
• Master's Degree in Divinity, Theology, Religion, or related field preferred
• One unit of ACPE Certified CPE required upon hire
• Documentation of endorsement from endorsing body required upon hire

Responsibilities

• Provide direct spiritual care for patients, families, and staff
• Offer holistic spiritual care addressing spiritual, emotional, and social needs
• Assist in ethical decision making and Advance Care Planning as per ERDs
• Notify and involve faith community leaders when requested
• Respond to crises and emergencies in a timely manner
• Performs other duties as assigned
