Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking an Exercise Physiologist for the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation program. The role includes prescribing and delivering exercise therapy and patient education, with care delivered via therapeutic use of self and collaboration with healthcare team.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science with national certification (ACSM EP-C/CEP, AACVPR, CCRP) or a Master’s in Exercise Physiology, and have basic knowledge of clinical exercise

Formación

• Must hold national certification in exercise physiology (ACSM EP-C/CEP, AACVPR, CCRP) or be a graduate of an Exercise Physiology master program.
• Demonstrated knowledge of clinical and technical aspects of exercise physiology and training.
• Basic Arrhythmia course completed within six months of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Provide exercise prescription, therapy, and education to patients in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation.
• Support care through collaboration with healthcare team and use of therapeutic techniques.
• Serve as a resource on the unit with knowledge and involvement in professional activities.
