Job summary

Lincare is seeking an Exercise Physiologist to analyze medical histories, perform fitness tests, and create individualized exercise prescriptions to support recovery and health improvement. The role requires ACSM certification and a strong foundation in cardiopulmonary health.

The incumbent will conduct cardiopulmonary tests, educate patients on healthy lifestyles, and coordinate care with the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Work with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team.
• Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or related field with cardiopulmonary health concentration.
• Master's Degree in Exercise Science or related field with cardiopulmonary health concentration.

Responsibilities

• Conducts fitness evaluations and functional assessments to identify needs, limitations, and risks.
• Assists in orientation and intake of new patients.
• Develops customized exercise programs including cardio, strength, flexibility, and rehabilitation.
• Administers breathing exercises, dyspnea management, therapeutic exercises, psychosocial assessment/management, and assistive technologies.
• Monitors progress with regular assessments and vital signs during sessions.
• Identifies risks and adjusts exercise plans based on medical history.
