Job summary

Mass General Brigham Community Physicians is seeking a Per Diem Cardiac Sonographer to support our Mystic Healthcare practice in Medford, MA. The role involves independently performing echocardiograms and bubble studies for adult and pediatric patients in outpatient and hospital settings, with a flexible schedule of at least 2 eight-hour shifts per month.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, RDCS/RCS credentials, BLS, and 0–1 year of sonographer

Qualifications

• RDCS and RCS certifications required or active (as applicable).
• BLS certification required.
• 0-1 year sonography experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and ultrasound equipment according to infection control and safety protocols.
• Review patient history and prior reports/images for exam planning.
• Apply proper positioning and scanning techniques to ensure patient comfort and high-quality images.
• Perform comprehensive transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) independently within 6 months of hire.
• Write preliminary reports for interpreting physicians and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
