Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or RDCS certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and ultrasound equipment following infection control and safety protocols.
• Review patient history and indications to guide examinations.
• Position patients and perform transthoracic echocardiograms within six months of hire.
• Perform ultrasound contrast studies and bubble studies when indicated.
• Acquire high-quality diagnostic images and communicate preliminary findings to the physician.
• Support quality improvement and accreditation activities.
• Assist with scheduling and patient flow; meet department productivity standards.
