• Must be in good physical condition.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Prior bus assistant experience preferred.
• Familiar with emergency evacuation procedures.
• Must assist the driver with backing the bus if needed.
• Patient and able to interact with special needs students.
• Must be an Epi-pen Delegate; training provided by district.

Responsibilities

• Lay out seat belts before arriving at each stop.
• Prepare vehicle for students with special needs.
• Assist children getting on and off the bus and secure them with seat belts.
• Support the driver during emergency evacuations.
• Assist the driver if backing up the bus is required.
