Job summary

Manalapan-Englishtown Regional School District is seeking per diem Substitute Bus Assistants for a per diem position in Manalapan, NJ. The successful candidate must reside in NJ within 1 year of appointment and be an Epi-pen Delegate, with training provided by the district.

Responsibilities include assisting with seat belts, preparing the vehicle for students with special needs, helping students on/off the bus, and supporting the driver in emergencies.

Qualifications

• Must be an Epi-pen Delegate; required training provided by the district.
• Must be in good physical condition.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Prior experience as a bus assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lay out seat belts before arriving at each bus stop.
• Must prepare vehicle for any special need a student may have.
• Assist children getting in and out of the bus and secure them in their seat.
• Assist the driver in an emergency evacuation if needed.
• Must be able to back up the bus when necessary.
