UCLA Health in Santa Monica, CA is seeking an experienced NICU Nurse to provide exceptional care and supervise nursing interventions for critically ill newborns. The role includes collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans and deliver precise family education.

The position requires a BSN or MSN, BLS, NRP and PALS certifications, and at least 2 years of NICU Level III/IV RN experience, with a possible float between Santa Monica and Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical

• NICU specialty certification (CCRN or RNC-NIC) highly preferable
• Official Transcripts and/or original diploma from a registered nursing program must be provided upon hire

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

In this exciting and rewarding position, you will provide exceptional nursing care for NICU patients. You will offer guidance to team members by supervising nursing interventions and assigning related tasks. You will also assess patient, family and staff learning needs, deliver appropriate clinical education and promote effective working relationships. This involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of dedicated professionals to develop and implement a care plan, including providing detailed care instructions.

*This position has a required float between Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center and Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.*

Salary Range: $96.74 - $96.74 hourly

Job Qualifications

We’re seeking a highly-skilled, self-motivated nursing professional with:

• BSN or MSN required
• BLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required
• NRP and PALS from the American Academy of Pediatrics required
• Minimum 2 years NICU Level III/Level IV RN experience required
• Skill in implementing appropriate nursing interventions on a consistent basis
• Ability to perform historical, physical and behavioral patient assessments
• Ability to develop and implement and evaluate patient care plan actively involving patients, family, and staff
• NICU specialty certification (CCRN or RNC-NIC) highly preferable
• Official Transcripts and/or original diploma from a registered nursing program must be provided upon hire
