Qualifications

• Six months to one year of direct childcare work with similar populations.
• Bradley Hospital Safety Care Certification.
• Current BLS certification.
• Baccalaureate Degree in a Human Service field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the milieu as delegated by the Charge RN and reports variations promptly.
• Functions independently in competent areas delivering sophisticated childcare.
• Utilizes safe, effective crisis management techniques.
• Organizes therapeutic unit activities and mentors junior staff.
• Develops understanding of trauma and demonstrates empathetic attitudes toward children and families.
• Provides daily feedback to charge RN regarding patient behavior and milieu changes.
• May perform duties across hospital programs as needed.
