Job summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for per diem Apheresis to perform plasmapheresis, photopheresis, stem cell collections, and related procedures. The role includes pediatric, on-call and weekend assignments across multiple sites, with 8-hour day shifts and a 20% appointment.

Requires RN license in California; BLS/CPR and BART are required at hire. BSN is preferred; experience in therapeutic apheresis is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered nurse licensed in California.
• BART or BLS/CPR certification required at time of hire with commitment to obtain BART within six months.
• At least one year of therapeutic apheresis/acute-care RN experience.
• Strong communication, empathy and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform plasmapheresis, photopheresis, stem cell collections, LDL apheresis, RBC exchange and white cell depletions.
• Provide autonomous nursing care within ANA standards.
• Be flexible to cover multiple UC San Diego Health sites and shifts.
• Include pediatric, on-call and weekend assignments.
