Job summary

Baystate Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Anesthesiologist to join Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield, MA. This per diem position offers autonomy with support, in a community hospital connected to a major academic system.

The role provides a broad case mix, collaboration with experienced teams, and access to Baystate’s resources, with a focus on patient-centered care and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology residency (or anticipated completion).
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology.
• Eligible for Massachusetts medical licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care across a balanced case mix including general surgery, orthopedics, endoscopy, OB, and more.
• Collaborate with CRNAs and other anesthesiologists to deliver safe perioperative care.
• Participate in perioperative medicine and pain management as needed.
• Maintain patient safety, quality metrics, and continuous improvement in anesthesia services.

Compensation: $530,000-600,000

• The compensation ranges in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full‑time commitment for exempt employees.
