Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Scientist II for the Process Chemistry group to advance peptide programs from pre-clinical through clinical development. The role focuses on developing synthetic processes for drug substances and contributing to project teams with strong scientific leadership.

The candidate will work independently, communicate results effectively, and proactively seek literature to improve workflows. Experience with GMP manufacturing and cross-functional collaborations is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant industrial experience (BS).
• 5+ years (MS) or more for peptide process development.
• GMP manufacturing and peptide process development experience.
• Strong team player with scientific leadership and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust synthetic processes for peptide assets throughout development.
• Participate in project teams for asset development and characterization.
• Establish and execute research plans; resolve key hurdles with data.
• Maintain high lab productivity and adhere to safety and GXP standards.
