Who We Are Looking For :

The Peoplesoft Systems Administrator IV participates in a team environment for the installation, upgrades, testing and maintenance of new and existing computer systems, operating system, and / or software applications.This position provides technical, interpersonal, and administrative skills in performing day to day work.

General Functions and Outcomes :

  • Provides administration and supports the Peoplesoft application stack.
  • Provides leadership and mentoring to other team members with tasks related to Peoplesoft System Administration duties.
  • Uses crossover knowledge into other technical disciplines to facilitate understanding, coordination, and communication between technical areas.
  • Adapts to new technology and methodologies.
  • Focuses on operational activities to ensure maximum availability and reliability of the supported platform / technology.
  • Maintains and supports multiple Peoplesoft environments, running on Servers (Linux, MS Server, VMware), Web / Platform Infrastructure of Weblogic, SSL Cert, Desktop (Windows), and Database (Oracle).
  • Researches and solves highly complex software issues and collaborates with vendors and other support teams regarding product or infrastructure problems.
  • Installs, configures, and manages computing systems and software in support of business processes and objectives.
  • Provides technical training to team and / or business partners through training sessions.
  • Acts as a consultant to manage, configure, implement, monitor, identify, diagnose, resolve problems and perform analysis in relation to the integrated IT environment and software.

Minimum Skill Requirements :

  • Experience with Peoplesoft 9.2 and staying current with updates.
  • Experience with infrastructure management techniques such as change management, problem management, release management, configuration management, and / or system lifecycle.
  • Ability to automate tasks and document them for others to use.
  • Ability to analyze, diagnose, and resolve system performance problems or outages.
  • Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technologies and methodologies and apply them to technological and / or business needs.
  • Must be able to provide direction to others in analyzing and solving program and system issues and problems.
  • Must be able to plan and manage his / her own work, as well as that of others.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with coworkers and all levels of management both verbally and written.
  • Experience supporting at least three of the following technologies : Network (Load Balancers, and Firewalls), Server (Unix, Linux, MS Server, & VMWare), Web / Platform Infrastructure (Weblogic, OpenESB, Websphere, IIS), Database (Oracle), or Desktop (Windows).
  • Possesses strong skills in understanding the appropriate environments for assigned applications.
  • Must possess strong customer service skills.
  • Must have a highly proficient understanding of design, implementation, and sustainment activities of Information Technology systems.
  • Must have a strong understanding of the MS and / or UNIX / Linux environments including common suites and core business applications.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field and seven years’ experience in the implementation, operations, development, support and maintenance of IT systems and / or administration of Software functions in multi-platform and multi-system environments or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Duties are performed primarily in an office environment.
  • May require travel for meetings or conferences.
  • Participates in on-call and off-hours work as necessary.

The expected hiring range for a Peoplesoft System Administrator IV is $109,700-$148,400 / annually depending on skills, experience, education, and training; relevant licensure / certifications; performance history; and work location. The bonus target for this position is 15% . The current full salary range for this role is $103,000-$168,000 / annually.
