Job summary

IBM Consulting seeks a seasoned Technical Application Manager to lead ongoing support and enhancements of PeopleSoft Payroll within an AMS environment. You will own payroll incidents end-to-end, manage changes, patches, and integrations, and partner with analysts and engineers to ensure accurate pay runs.

The role requires deep PeopleSoft Payroll experience, strong leadership, and a focus on compliance and high-availability operations across pay cycles and GL interfaces.

Qualifications

  • 7–10+ years of progressive experience with PeopleSoft HCM applications.
  • Hands-on Payroll expertise and knowledge of General Ledger, Time and Labor.
  • Experience supporting payroll applications, ideally within an AMS environment.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for PeopleSoft Payroll incidents and escalations.
  • Coordinate payroll application changes, patches, migrations, and maintenance.
  • Oversee core payroll processing functions, including pay calculation and GL integrations.
  • Collaborate with payroll analysts, stakeholders, and architects to resolve escalations.
  • Provide technical leadership to the payroll support team within an AMS delivery model.
  • Apply critical thinking to diagnose payroll calculation, GL interface, and Time and Labor issues.
  • Support governance and reporting on payroll incident trends and RCA.
