Job summary

MTAHQ is seeking a seasoned PeopleSoft HCM Integrator to serve as a Business Analyst and Functional Lead for a 6-month hybrid engagement in NYC. You will support new PeopleSoft HCM modules, enhancements, and existing production functionality, and participate in business process reengineering initiatives across the organization.

The role requires deep expertise across HRM modules, strong SQL and PeopleSoft Query skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into functional designs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years PeopleSoft HCM functional and technical experience (v9.2+).
• Deep expertise across modules: HR, Compensation, Position Management, Performance Management, Learning & Development, Benefits Administration, Talent Acquisition / Candidate Gateway, ESS/Client.
• Proven experience with full lifecycle PeopleSoft implementations.
• Strong SQL (DML/DQL) and PeopleSoft Query development experience (10+ years).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Experience reviewing project deliverables for quality and compliance.
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical designs.
• Familiarity with PeopleSoft Test Framework (preferred).
• Experience with State government projects (preferred).
• Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and presentation.
• Strong understanding of relational database design.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Conduct process improvement reviews across system functionality, operations, logistics, and personnel.
• Map business processes to PeopleSoft HCM capabilities.
• Ensure alignment between applications and business requirements; collaborate with process owners to resolve issues.
• Define data flows and ensure integration across business processes and systems.
• Facilitate requirements gathering and user design sessions with stakeholders.
• Coordinate project deliverables with MTAIT, Performance Management, and other internal groups.
• Partner with designers to complete system enhancement designs.
• Design and develop HCM reports; build moderate to complex PeopleSoft queries.
• Write complex SQL (DML/DQL) scripts for reporting and data analysis.
• Participate in end-to-end and system integration testing.
• Support staffing, scheduling, and deliverable planning for system enhancements.
