Position Summary

We are actively seeking a seasoned PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 Techno-Functional SME who will play a key leadership and delivery role in supporting and optimizing the PeopleSoft HCM suite. This hybrid role requires both in-depth functional expertise and strong technical skills to lead business process enhancements, custom development, and cross-functional coordination.

Core Responsibilities

Functional Responsibilities

• Lead discovery and requirement-gathering sessions with HR, Payroll, and Benefits teams.

• Act as SME across PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 modules including:

  • Core HR

  • Payroll for North America

  • Benefits Administration

  • Time and Labor

  • Workforce Administration

  • Talent Management (ePerformance, eCompensation)

• Conduct fit-gap analyses and configure system functionalities to align with business needs.

• Drive process improvements, automation of HR policies, and compliance solutions.

• Coordinate and execute UAT, end-user training, and documentation.

• Manage production support, incident resolution, and enhancements.

Technical Responsibilities

• Develop and customize using PeopleTools 8.5x/8.6x, PeopleCode, Application Engine, SQR, Component Interfaces, and Integration Broker.

• Design and maintain technical objects: reports, interfaces, conversions, and enhancements.

• Support upgrades, PUM Image updates, and PeopleTools patching.

• Utilize PeopleSoft Test Framework (PTF) for automated testing (preferred).

• Build complex queries using PS Query and SQL for data analytics.

• Partner with DBAs, infrastructure, and security teams to maintain application stability and performance.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 7–8 years of experience as a techno-functional consultant in PeopleSoft HCM 9.2.

• Strong functional knowledge in HCM modules (HR, Payroll, Benefits).

• Proven experience with PeopleTools 8.56+ and development in PeopleCode, App Engine, and SQR.

• Experience with PeopleSoft upgrades, PUM application, and regression testing.

• Proficient in problem-solving, debugging, and cross-team communication.

• Capable of working independently in a dynamic, fast-paced consulting environment.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience in public sector or higher education implementations.

• Familiarity with Fluid UI, WorkCenters, and Approval Workflow.

• Exposure to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments.

• Experience integrating with external payroll or benefits platforms.

• Oracle or PeopleSoft certifications are a plus.
