Job description

Job Overview:

The primary role of the PeopleSoft functional analyst is to provide functional expertise to the business areas of Human resources, Payroll and other related applications. Ideally he/she will create business and functional requirement specifications, processes changes and provide recommendations for applicable technology solutions.

Qualifications:

Required:

  1. An Associate's degree in IT, Business Admin or related field is required or 3 to 5 years of equivalent experience.
  2. Must have 7 or more years of work experience including but not limited to implementations, data conversions, identify and document functional requirements in some or all modules Human resources, Payroll for North America, Compensation, ESS and MSS.
  3. Must have 5 or more years of work experience with Technical Analysts, Project, team Business analysts and Business teams. Knowledge of testing methodologies using PeopleSoft test framework or other tools.
  4. Must have a good record as a self-motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred:

  1. Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Admin or related field.
  2. Experience in the healthcare industry preferred.

Scheduling requirements:

  1. Full-time, Day
  2. Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm
  3. May be required to travel to different affiliates as needed.

Essential Functions:

  1. Supports areas of PeopleSoft system design, conversion from other ERPs, implementation and functionality. Understands functionality of individual modules in addition to the integration / data flow between modules.
  2. Supports IT peers, business partners in designing and maintenance of applications.
  3. Troubleshoots and solves PeopleSoft system issues using root cause analysis and identifies permanent fixes.
  4. Maintains visibility to sustainable PeopleSoft design and implementations through training and research and is able to use experience with interpreting and adapting them to current system designs.
  5. Appreciates the importance of using delivered PeopleSoft functionality. Plans and implements solutions that rely on delivered configuration as the primary mode of development and recommend customizations only where/when critically necessary.
  6. Influences business partners and peers to redirect business processes that drive customization's toward delivered technologies.
  7. Participates in application development plans in support of upgrades, patches and fixes, problem resolution, change requests and enhancements. Acts as a subject-matter expert in configuration, support, testing of related applications.
  8. Performs any other functions within as demanded by management.
