Job summary

University of Massachusetts President’s Office is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to provide functional support for PeopleSoft Financials and related enterprise integrations serving all UMass campuses and the President’s Office. The role focuses on reliable operation of financial systems and ongoing modernization of the University’s technology environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in IT, accounting, financial systems, or a related business systems environment.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
• Strong understanding of business application processes, data analysis, testing, troubleshooting, and system support.
• Experience with tools such as PeopleSoft Query and advanced Excel.
• Experience with software development life cycle activities including requirements analysis, testing, implementation, and change management.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent functional support for PeopleSoft Financial applications, including Asset Management, General Ledger, and PeopleSoft security.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application and operational issues, identify root causes, and recommend solutions.
• Develop and execute test scenarios for functionality, enhancements, integrations, and changes.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and technical staff to analyze requirements and coordinate implementations.
• Coordinate testing activities including planning, execution, issue tracking, and resolution.
