Job summary

The University of Massachusetts Information Technology Services (UITS) is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to provide functional support for PeopleSoft Financials and related enterprise integrations serving all UMass campuses and the President's Office. The analyst translates business requirements into practical technology solutions and owns enhancements, testing, documentation, and end-user training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in IT, accounting, financial systems, or a related business systems environment.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with tools such as PeopleSoft Query and advanced Excel.
• Experience with software development life cycle activities, including requirements analysis, testing, implementation, and change management.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent functional support for PeopleSoft Financial applications, including Asset Management, General Ledger, and PeopleSoft security.
• Independently analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application and operational issues, identify root causes, and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Develop and execute test scenarios to validate system functionality, enhancements, integrations, and system changes.
• Independently collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and technical team members to analyze requirements, resolve complex issues, and coordinate implementation of assigned system enhancements.
• Coordinate unit, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing for assigned enhancements and projects, including test planning, execution, issue tracking, and resolution.
