Job summary

Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC is seeking a People Consultant to act as a strategic and operational partner for designated business areas, advising on People policies, talent development, and associate relations. This role will coach leaders, drive workforce strategies, and ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies.

The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, organizational design, and change management initiatives to support business growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Business Management, Communications, or related field.
• 5–7 years progressive HR experience, including HR Business Partnering.
• Experience with Employee Relations, Organizational Development or Learning & Development, HR operations and Compliance.
• Strong knowledge of Compensation & Benefits, Employee Relations, Talent Management, and HRIS.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise leaders on employee relations issues, policy interpretation, and disciplinary actions.
• Assess workforce trends and translate insights into workforce strategies and leadership actions.
• Conduct investigations into harassment, discrimination, and workplace-violence claims.
• Coordinate employment-related legal actions with Corporate Security, Business Practices Office, and Legal.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies.
• Provide guidance on organizational structure, job banding, and headcount planning.
• Lead organizational change management initiatives and related training.
• Prepare reports and support audits of People programs and processes.
