Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Specialist People Solutions at its corporate office in Chesapeake, VA. You will develop, implement, and promote initiatives that enhance communication and proactive support while providing employment compliance and policy assistance to HR partners and operations teams.

Your role includes investigating sensitive HR issues, collaborating with Legal, managing casework to closure, and analyzing trends to improve programs and policies for a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BA / BS / BFA) or equivalent and 1-3 years' experience.
• Ability to apply logic in confrontational situations
• Ability to focus on multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
• Ability to argue Dollar Tree’s position persuasively
• Computer Skills: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Lawson ERP, Workday

Responsibilities

• Investigate sensitive HR and Associate Relations cases; interview complainants, witnesses and subjects; analyze data; adjudicate cases; propose corrective action including termination when appropriate; produce investigation documentation.
• Consult and collaborate with business partners, peers, and Legal teams on complex investigations
• Independently manage assigned casework, bringing investigations to closure rapidly and definitively
• Objectively debrief Business Partners and leadership on investigation findings
• Analyze aggregate casework data to identify issue trends and mitigation opportunities
• Partner in analysis and revision of associate programs, policies, and practices to sustain a positive work environment
