Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking a Specialist People Solutions at our corporate office. You will develop, implement, and promote initiatives that improve communication, provide employment compliance, and support HR policy with Business Partners and Operations Teams.

Your role includes investigating sensitive HR issues, collaborating with Legal, and guiding casework to timely resolutions while analyzing data for trends and program improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS/BFA) or equivalent and 1–3 years of experience.
• Ability to apply logic in confrontational situations.
• Ability to focus on multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Lawson ERP and Workday.
• PHR/SPHR or SHRM CP/SCP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigate highly sensitive HR and Associate Relations issues with thorough documentation.
• Consult with partners, peers, and Legal teams on complex investigations.
• Independently manage casework and bring investigations to closure.
• Debrief leadership on investigation findings and trends.
• Analyze data to identify proactive issue mitigation and policy improvements.

About Your Role:

As a Specialist People Solutions at Dollar Tree’s corporate office, you’ll be responsible for the development, implementation, and promotion of initiatives that enhance communication and proactive support while providing employment compliance and policy assistance to Human Resource Business Partners and Operations Teams.

Your day-to-day job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Investigate highly sensitive HR and Associate Relations issues, including Conducting complainant, witness and subject associate interviews; Analyzing data from various internal systems; Case adjudication; Proposing corrective action, including recommending termination when appropriate, based on investigation findings; Production of completed investigation documentation
• Consult and collaborate with business partners, peers, and Legal teams on complex associate investigations
• Independently manage assigned casework, bringing investigations to closure rapidly and definitively
• Objectively debrief Business Partners and leadership on investigation findings
• Analyze aggregate casework data to identify issue trends and opportunities for proactive issue mitigation
• Partner in analysis and revision of associate programs, policies, and practices to sustain a positive work environment

Your Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree (BA / BS / BFA) or equivalent and 1-3 years' experience
• Ability to apply logic in confrontational situations
• Ability to focus on multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
• Ability to argue Dollar Tree’s position persuasively
• Computer Skills: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Lawson ERP, Workday

Preferred Requirements:

• PHR/SPHR or SHRM CP/SCP Preferred
• Bi-lingual

Start Rate = $70,000 - $80,000 based on experience plus 10% bonus. Our success is a team effort — when we reach our goals, you’ll be eligible for a yearly bonus!
