Summary

The People Services & Support Lead is responsible for supporting, promoting, and enhancing employee health and wellness through effective benefits education, wellness initiatives, and leave management. This role partners closely with employees, managers, and external vendors to ensure that wellness offerings are understood, accessible, and aligned with the evolving needs of our workforce.

This role will be based in our new plant in Rome, NY but will be remote in the meantime.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee and manager inquiries regarding health and wellness benefits. Proactively address and resolve employee issues or concerns.
  • Participate in Health & Wellness program renewals, the annual Open Enrollment Process, and all other on-site health and wellness activities and events.
  • Educate and inform employees and leadership on available health and wellness programs; partner with them to identify and recommend new opportunities. This may include leading meetings, facilitating education/feedback sessions, and developing materials to support educational needs.
  • Stay current with health and wellness trends and make recommendations for new or improved programs and offerings.
  • Manage Leave of Absence policies and processes in partnership with employees, managers, and third-party providers.
  • Use mailbox/ticketing systems to measure and evaluate common issues, resolving broadly. Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and automate processes where applicable.
  • Support broader People Team processes, programs, and policies.
  • Travel to other company locations to support and facilitate wellness events as needed.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in a health and wellness benefits-focused role.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build effective relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong project and time management skills to manage projects and programs effectively and timely.
  • Experience working with third-party benefit providers and managing vendor relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to process improvement.
