Position Summary
The People Partner is responsible for performing HR-related duties that support people-first initiatives. This position coordinates a broad spectrum of HR functions including talent acquisition, onboarding and offboarding, employee training and development, performance management, benefits administration, metrics tracking and reporting, policy creation and implementation, and compliance on federal, state, and local levels. The People Partner works closely with individuals across the company to address workforce needs, support coaching and development, and identify solutions that ensure company and each employee's success. This role serves as a resource for employees at all levels, fostering a positive work environment through consistent support and responsiveness.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist in the administration of various human resources processes and systems
- Manage benefits administration and communication
- Monitor labor law changes at a federal, state, and local level across employee locations, identifying any necessary changes to internal policies
- Maintain accurate employee records
- Manage full-cycle recruitment efforts
- Conduct onboarding and offboarding of employees, ensuring compliance while also focusing on the quality of individual experience
- Process state/local/federal inquiries and requirements
- Coordinate training for new hires and current staff that support talent development initiatives and are compliance with federal/state/local requirements
- Partner with managers to advise on HR and compliance related situations
- Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department, benefits and services provided, and company culture
- Support various audits, reports, and inspections with multiple internal teams
- Other duties as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred; HR certification a plus
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role required; CPG or manufacturing industry experience preferred
- Experience managing multiple HR functions simultaneously required
- Experience with employment law, compliance, and various HR regulations required
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS required; Rippling or ADP experience preferred
- Reliable partner to internal teams, sharing knowledge and best practices that build trust and solve problems
- Excellent communicator across employee levels, point of contact for questions due to a reputation for integrity and empathy
- Strong analytical mind, interpreting and delivering quality HR data and metrics that drive people-first decisions
