You will interpret technical requirements into measurable test scenarios, manage test data and environments, and communicate status and blockers clearly to leadership.

Qualifications

About the role

The position is at a tech company. We are looking for a detail-oriented, methodical, mission-driven People Operations Specialist to strengthen our quality assurance operations.

You will build test cases, execute test suites, and document results in our tracking systems, ensuring that defects are identified before deployment and accreditation criteria are met.

We need someone capable of interpreting technical requirements and translating them into measurable test scenarios; managing test data, environments, and automation tools across multiple concurrent builds; and communicating test status and blockers clearly to development and program leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manage onboarding, offboarding, and employee status changes with accuracy, discretion, and confidentiality.
• Maintain up-to-date employee records across HRIS platforms (Justworks, Lattice, Ashby) while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Coordinate benefits enrollments, terminations, open enrollment, and leave of absence tracking (FMLA, ADA, parental leave).
• Act as the primary point of contact for employee questions related to benefits, payroll, policies, and employment verifications.
• Collaborate with IT and Security teams to manage access provisioning and deprovisioning while maintaining compliance requirements.
• Support HR process documentation, reporting, and ongoing process improvement initiatives.

What You Bring

• 3-5 years of experience in People Operations, HR Specialist, or a similar HR support position.
• Proven proficiency with HRIS or PEO platforms (Justworks, Lattice, Ashby, Rippling) and confidence working with employee data.
• Hands-on experience managing onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and leave of absence processes.
• Knowledge of employment law, multi-state compliance requirements, and leave administration (FMLA, ADA).
• Experience supporting remote or hybrid teams in a fast-paced, distributed work environment.
