Job Purpose and Overview

You will support the full spectrum of the employee lifecycle while ensuring HR operations, systems, and processes are optimized for compliance, scalability, and employee experience. You will partner closely with leadership, hiring managers, and employees to deliver responsive, thoughtful, and strategic HR support in a matrixed, multi-state, compliance-driven environment. You will have primary responsibility for payroll processing.
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field; HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred.
  • 3+ years of HR Generalist or People Operations experience; MSP or tech/consulting sector a plus.
  • Proficient in payroll processing; 2+ years of payroll experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems; experience with Workday a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, benefits administration, and compliance standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to perform job responsibilities with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Salary expected to be $70k to $75k dependent on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Operations & Systems
  • Process multi-company, bi-weekly payroll in Workday. Prepare upload templates for hours and earnings; process employee time entry data, bonuses, on-call, and commissions; perform audits.
  • Maintain and update employee data and organizational changes in Workday HRIS.
  • Guide employees on effective use of Workday for benefits enrollment, self-service, and performance reviews.
  • Provide troubleshooting and support for navigation of Workday.
  • Ensure accurate ConnectWise PSA member setup and maintenance.
  • Job Description creation and maintenance.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Initiate job postings and collaborate with Talent Acquisition on candidate management.
  • Prepare comprehensive offer documentation including job descriptions, variable compensation plans, and offer details.
  • Coordinate background and reference checks.
  • Lead a SOC II Type II-compliant onboarding process from candidate through pre-hire, hire, and post-hire activities.

Offboarding & Compliance

  • Administer structured SOC II Type II offboarding, ensuring system, equipment, and access controls are addressed.
  • Maintain compliance with ADA, FLSA, federal, state, and local employment regulations.
  • Oversee mandatory training compliance (e.g., Anti-Harassment).
  • Ensure maintenance of accurate and up-to-date employee personnel files.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Support Open Enrollment process: employee communications, troubleshooting, and benefits education.
  • Provide ongoing benefits support including 401(k) enrollment. Handle employee pay and benefit inquiries.
  • Create variable compensation plans in alignment with internal policies.
  • Manage leaves of absence, including coordination of income replacement and legal protections (FMLA, Disability Insurance, State income replacement plans and protections, etc.).

Employee Relations & Policy Guidance

  • Address day-to-day HR inquiries, provide leadership with real-time advice on policies, procedures, and issue resolution.
  • Assist with resolving employee complaints, employee relations cases, and disciplinary actions.
  • Support the process for terminations.

Talent Management & Development

  • Support performance management and professional development planning.
  • Facilitate internal promotions, reorganizations, and position changes.
  • Contribute to training and development programs.

Engagement, Culture & Strategic Initiatives

  • Champion the employee experience journey, supporting a positive and inclusive culture.
  • Support employee feedback programs including surveys, pulse checks, and the Best Places to Work survey process.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.
