Job summary

Tennant Solutions is seeking a Hands-on People Operations Specialist to support the HR team in delivering best-in-class operations, employee data integrity, and scalable processes.

You will manage daily HRIS transactions, audits, and employee records while enabling a positive employee experience from onboarding through offboarding.

Qualifications

• Experience in HR operations or People/HR role.
• Experience with HRIS systems (UKG Ready) preferred.
• Knowledge of federal and state HR regulations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR contact for assigned departments within the site, supporting hourly and salaried employees.
• Coordinate and monitor UKG Ready HR Actions, approval workflows, and data changes; follow up on incomplete or delayed transactions.
• Perform routine HRIS audits to identify missing data, duplicate records, inconsistent effective dates, and other discrepancies; resolve or escalation issues.
• Lead the onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparing documentation, completing I-9s, conducting orientation sessions, and collecting exit paperwork.
• Assist with Workers Compensation, Unemployment claims and employment verifications.
• Help administer HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Track employee attendance, PTO, and leaves of absence; support benefits administration as needed.
• Coordinate employee engagement and recognition programs.
• Assist with compliance tracking, reporting, and audits.
• Respond to internal HR-related inquiries and escalation issues as necessary.
• Conduct employee relations investigations, analyze organizational health issues, and work in partnership HR team to develop and execute plans to address concerns Update employee earnings and deductions including employee position changes and promotions as well as wage garnishments.
• Develop/Deliver HR projects and continuous process improvement efforts.

This is a hands-on, operational role that sits at the heart of our People function, ensuring that our people systems, data, and processes run smoothly as we scale rapidly. You'll be the operational backbone of our People team-managing transactional excellence, maintaining accurate employee data, coordinating key people processes, and enabling seamless employee experiences from onboarding through offboarding. Your work will directly impact on how our teams feel supported and how effectively our People leaders can focus on strategy.

Key Responsibilities
