Shields Group Search is partnering with a fast-growing technology company in New York City to hire a People Operations Manager. You will lead onboarding, benefits, payroll, and policies, while partnering with executives and HR, accounting, and legal teams to scale operations.

This onsite role in NYC’s Flatiron District offers opportunity to shape the HR function, build pipelines, and drive an employer brand that attracts top talent in a dynamic market.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in people operations, HR, or a generalist people role at a fast-paced company.
• Experience working with recruiters, finance, and legal partners is required.
• Hands-on experience with ATS platforms, benefits administration, and onboarding tools.
• Excellent organizational skills and strong written communication.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end onboarding and offboarding, provisioning accounts and equipment, and ensuring a welcoming first day.
• Design and implement lightweight performance review processes for clarity.
• Manage benefits, 401(k), payroll administration, and enrollment processes.
• Maintain employee records, org charts, and personnel files with accuracy.
• Create internal policies that ensure compliance with employment law.
• Source and engage candidates to build pipelines across networks and LinkedIn.
• Configure and optimize the ATS for recruiting and hiring steps.
• Coordinate with hiring managers to prepare for each role’s process; work with third-party recruiters on interviews and offers.
• Develop recruiting infrastructure with tools, metrics, and rituals to maintain transparency and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Leadership to express employer brand through storytelling and events.
