HALCO MANAGEMENT in Southeast Michigan is seeking a hands-on People & Operations Manager to lead our people function, build systems, and create a strong talent pipeline to support growth. This role combines HR fundamentals with an operator mindset to recruit aggressively, coach managers, improve processes, analyze workforce trends, and own initiatives without constant direction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive Human Resources, People Operations, or related experience.
• Demonstrated recruiting and talent-acquisition experience.
• Working knowledge of federal and Michigan employment practices.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting across our locations.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of technicians, service advisors, managers, and admin staff.
• Source candidates proactively and manage hiring workflows.
• Develop relationships with technical schools and recruiting platforms.
• Track recruiting metrics including time-to-fill and turnover.
• Lead onboarding processes and employee lifecycle management.
