Fooda is seeking an HR Generalist to support employees across core HR operations and People programs in Chicago. You will manage day-to-day HR processes, assist with employee relations, onboarding, and company-wide events while modernizing workflows.

You’ll collaborate with the HR Manager and CPO, ensuring compliance, accurate records, and proactive service. This role covers Chicago office operations and supports weekly All Company meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
• 2–5 years of HR or People Operations experience.
• Strong understanding of HR principles and employment law.
• Ability to build relationships at all levels.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.
• Experience using HR systems (UKG Ready preferred).
• Discretion with confidential information; bilingual (Spanish) a plus.

Responsabilités

• Serve as a primary contact for employees and managers on HR policies and processes.
• Automate workflows and improve HR processes for better efficiency.
• Administer lifecycle changes: hires, promotions, transfers, leaves, offboarding and documentation.
• Facilitate onboarding and orientation for new hires.
• Plan and execute company-wide People programs and events.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure HR compliance.
• Partner with managers on employee relations and performance issues.
• Support People Team initiatives and office operations in Chicago.
