About The Role

We are looking for a driven People Ops Generalist who can be a positive force to manage people data and set a high bar for employee service in our team. This role will play a key part in managing employee requests through our JIRA help desk, completing business processes and data entry in Workday, maintaining data integrity across our people technology, and play a part in compliance related activities for the People Ops team. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about detail and process oriented work and can help us scale our employee core services as Checkr continues to grow. What You’ll Do
  1. Use a deep understanding of Workday to initiate and complete key business processes from position creation to onboarding and offboarding.
  2. Responsible for accurately entering employee data into Workday and appropriately managing large sets of data for EIB processing.
  3. Partner with stakeholders in People and Payroll to coordinate and serve as a People Ops liaison for various initiatives.
  4. Provide high-quality employee and manager support through our JIRA help desk by responding to questions, directing employees to resources, and representing company policies and practices.
  5. Maintain confidentiality and protection of employees' private and/or personal data throughout our people technology.
  6. Assist in process development or improvement with a focus on enabling self-service and scalability.
  7. Prepare, review, interpret, and analyze data, information, and reports; make recommendations based on findings.
  8. Maintain clear, accurate, and up-to-date process documentation for internal and cross-functional teams.
  9. Coordinate compliance requirements, understanding relevant federal and global regulations that impact our work.
  10. Develop and deliver training related to People Ops programs.
  11. Contribute to ongoing process improvements and uphold high standards for oneself.
  12. Perform additional People Operations duties and projects as they arise.
What You Bring
  1. Expertise in people tools including Workday HCM, JIRA Help Desk, Greenhouse, CultureAmp, and more. Additional Workday module experience is a plus.
  2. 3+ years of experience in People Ops at fast-paced, scaling organizations.
  3. High customer-obsession, with a proven track record for delivering results, collaboration, and business acumen.
  4. Experience with broad HR practices and program development, understanding stakeholder needs across the People function and beyond.
  5. Strong HR operational foundation in technology, process design, and employee experience.
  6. Willingness to work “hands-on” and “roll up your sleeves” to get things done.
  7. Problem-solving, critical thinking, and sound judgment skills.
  8. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion, integrity, and trustworthiness.
  9. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  10. Proven time and project management skills, capable of managing high request volumes.
  11. Working knowledge of Google Suite, especially Google Sheets (v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.).
  12. Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team, adaptable and resilient in a scaling environment.

Base salary ranges:

  • $95,000 to $112,000 in San Francisco, CA
  • $78,000 to $92,000 in Denver, CO
