Job summary

Roskam Foods is seeking an experienced HR professional to lead employee relations, compliance, and HR initiatives across our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities include partnering with leaders, evaluating policies, and supporting safety and development programs. The role requires a bachelor’s degree and HR experience, with union exposure and SHRM/PHR credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field experience required.
• At least one year of human resources and employee relations experience preferred.
• Experience in a union environment strongly preferred.
• Previous manufacturing HR experience preferred.
• Experience handling highly confidential and sensitive information.
• Ability to interact with all levels of employees and be perceived as an approachable and knowledgeable resource.
• Bi-lingual preferred.
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.

• Acts as a change agent.
• Ensures employees at all levels are treated fairly in compliance with policies, regulations, and laws.
• Partners with leaders on compliance with employment regulations, HR policies, and best practices.
• Supports leaders to achieve business unit and department goals.
• Partners with HR Team and Centers of Excellence as needed.
• Project team member and implementor for HR initiatives.
• Spends significant time in production areas offering hands-on support.
• Partners with plant safety team to enforce safe policy and procedures.
• Executes HR programs including disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
• Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex matters to appropriate staff.
• Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
