Job summary

Roskam Foods in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an HR Payroll Support professional to help with weekly payroll processing, timekeeping, and HR records. The role supports recruitment, compliance, and employee relations, contributing to a compliant and well-organized people operations function.

Collaborate with the payroll department when necessary to resolve discrepancies and provide support to the employees and leadership when questions arrive on payroll items.Timekeeping/Attendance support: complete required tasks within timekeeping and attendance systems.HR Record Keeping: Maintain and update employee records, both physical and digital, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with data protection regulations.Recruitment Assistance: Assist in the recruitment process by scheduling interviews and coordinating candidate communication.Compliance: Ensure that HR practices and procedures adhere to relevant labor laws and regulations. Assist with compliance reporting and audits as requested.Training and Development: Help coordinate training programs. Maintain training records and monitor training completion.Employee Relations: Handle basic employee inquiries and concerns, escalating more complex issues to the People Operations Manager or Generalist as necessary.Documentation and Reporting: Prepare HR-related reports, presentations, and documents as requested by HR management or other departments.HR Communication: Assist in the distribution of HR policies, notices, and updates to employees. Promote HR initiatives and events.HR Software and Systems: Utilize HR software and systems for data entry, reporting, and record-keeping.
