Job summary

Via is seeking a People Operations Associate to support our Sioux Falls team, overseeing HR processes, policy implementation, compliance, and employee support. This hands-on role emphasizes a positive workplace culture and real-time issue resolution.

You will own end-to-end lifecycle processes, assist with payroll, benefits, recruiting, and employee relations, including handling sensitive matters and representing Via at local events.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in HR operations or employee relations.
• Experience with unionized workforces and bargaining agreements.
• Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, FLSA and related laws.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end employee lifecycle processes from onboarding to off-boarding.
• Manage workers' comp and unemployment claims with compliance.
• Advocate for employees and handle inquiries with discretion.
• Lead engagement and recognition initiatives to improve culture.
• Support payroll, benefits enrollment, and open enrollment tasks.
• Maintain records and ensure policy adherence across sites.
• Coordinate recruiting activities including interviews and pre-hire steps.
